The beginning of the sod harvesting season is a special time at Gazonnière Alexander. We’re sure all of our peers in the grass farming industry feel the same way, but one way in which we are uniquely blessed is we get to kick off the year with so many birthdays! José, Yves, Jorge, and even the boss Shaun all get to celebrate some of their special days at the farm!
Our whole team deserves to be celebrated, but we can’t forget the entire crew - some of which don’t even really have birthdays! Who are we talking about? The farming equipment, of course! Get to know some of the heavy machinery that helps Gazonnière Alexander ensure premium Kentucky Blue grass arrives at your homes and businesses. Water Systems

We have a lot of grass to water - 400 acres across Mascouche and Terrebonne, to be accurate. You would need approximately 2,000 of your common lawn sprinkler to cover that much! For the most part, we’ve narrowed it down to two pieces of equipment. Irrigation from Greenfield and Otech keep the water flowing through the chassis booms, which reach over 70 meters at a time, covering dozens of acres at any given time. These are gargantuan machines, and are they ever efficient!
Harvesters

Meet The Boss and The Beast - the AutoStack 1 and AutoStack 3. Two generations of machinery from Trebro. We operate these machines in our fields, which chop, roll, and neatly stack rolls of sod on ready-to-go pallets! Our family put our trust in the original AutoStack for years and it didn’t let us down. Once the AutoStack 3 hit the market, investing in this machine was an easy decision to make. Both machines continue to work hard in our fields, but with the The Beast harvesting, we can go a little easier on The Boss.
Delivery Vehicles
Gazonnière Alexander prides itself on efficient delivery in Terrebonne, Mascouche and the surrounding areas. And because these deliveries vary in sizes, as do our vehicles. Our heavy duty Freightliner and Kenworth trucks are up to the task of yielding trailers full of Kentucky blue pallets. The trailers themselves handle up to 16 or 22 pallets, depending on your needs!
Now, not all lawns need new sod, but they do need fertilizer, top soil, and could even be levelled up with some river stone to accent your property. We have you covered, and don’t need our semi-trucks to bring it to you. Our Ford F550 - affectionately known as our Petit Camion - is ready to bring small scale deliveries where they’re needed. To take a closer look at what’s available, visit our store to see if your order qualifies for delivery.
With how much our machines do for us, it’s easy to see them as members of our team, every bit as important as those of us who are operating them. Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted with them!
