There’s no place like home. A cliche? Sure! But it’s a sentiment we feel very strongly at Gazonnière Alexander. As you might know, we’ve been proudly serving Terrebonne-Mascouche and surrounding areas premium Kentucky blue grass since 1969, and our connection to our community grows stronger each year! In fact, that connection started further back than the opening of the farm. MUCH further back!
You can trace us Alexanders back to Terrebonne as early as 1824. You can find our family footprint all around town, such as Rue Alexander, and Parc Alexander. These Terrebonne waypoints get their name from Alfred Alexander, one of our farms founders, who also served as Mayor from 1961 through 1967. Even the Alexandre’s cross street, Chemin Newton from Alfred’s cousin, who owned a dairy and pig farm, just a hop, skip and jump from Gazonnière Alexander. Grass, pork, and milk - we could help you get just about anything you needed!

Speaking of Chemin Newton, if you travel the road north from Rue Alexander, you’ll soon find Mascouche United Church on Chemin Ste Marie. Originally a Protestant church, it was built by seven Alexander brothers; Lancelot, Francis, Richard, William, James, Joseph, and George. The name of Alexander remained a pillar of the church, from John Alexander becoming mayor of the parish's municipal corporation in 1915, Muriel serving as church organizer, as well as her aunts Annie, Hattie, and Lillie playing the church organ for worshippers.

Gazonnière Alexander continues to cherish the towns of Terrebonne and Mascouche, as well as the trust our community puts in our team, our family, and our sod.
